Adventure Itinerary

Day 1: Salt Lake City to Moab – Fisher Towers Hike

Mileage: ~4 miles

Elevation Gain/Loss: 900 ft gain and loss

Experience: After pickup from your Salt Lake City hotel, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through Southern Utah en route to Moab. Our first hike of the trip will be at Fisher Towers, where unique rock formations rise dramatically from the desert floor. Known both as a world-class climbing area and a Hollywood filming location, Fisher Towers provides the perfect introduction to red rock country. That evening, we’ll check into our Moab hotel and gather for a group dinner in town.

Highlights: Fisher Towers hike, Moab hotel stay, group dinner.

Day 2: Arches National Park – Devil’s Garden & Hidden Arches

Mileage: ~10 miles

Elevation Gain/Loss: 1,000 ft gain and loss

Experience: We begin the day in Arches National Park with the Devil’s Garden Trail, a rugged adventure past stunning sandstone fins and the largest freestanding arch in North America, Landscape Arch. After a scenic picnic lunch, we’ll set out on a shorter afternoon hike to a pair of lesser known arches and nearby pictographs, remnants of ancestral Native cultures.

Highlights: Devil’s Garden Trail, Landscape Arch, hidden arches hike, ancient pictographs, picnic in the park.

Day 3: Canyonlands National Park – Mesa Arch, Grandview Point & Gooseberry Trail

Mileage: ~7 miles

Elevation Gain/Loss: 1,600 ft gain and loss

Experience: After breakfast, we’ll head to Canyonlands National Park. Our first stops include Mesa Arch, a short but iconic hike to one of the Southwest’s most photographed formations, and a walk to Grandview Point for sweeping canyon vistas. In the afternoon, we’ll hike the Gooseberry Trail, descending into the heart of the park where the layers of the Colorado Plateau reveal millions of years of geologic history. After a picnic lunch on the trail, we’ll return to Moab for another evening of relaxation and dinner in town.

Highlights: Mesa Arch, Grandview Point, Gooseberry Trail hike, canyon geology, picnic lunch.

Day 4: Arches National Park – Delicate Arch & Scenic Highlights

Mileage: ~5–6 miles (combined)

Elevation Gain/Loss: 700 ft gain and loss

Experience: We return to Arches National Park for another day of discovery. The morning begins with a hike to the park’s most famous landmark, Delicate Arch, Utah’s state symbol and one of the most photographed natural arches in the world. Afterward, we’ll tour additional highlights including The Windows, Balanced Rock, and other formations. Lunch will be a picnic inside the park, with time to stop at the visitor center for souvenirs before heading back to Moab for our final evening in town.

Highlights: Delicate Arch hike, The Windows, Balanced Rock, Arches Visitor Center, group picnic.

Day 5: Capitol Reef National Park & Return to Salt Lake City

Mileage: ~5–6 miles

Elevation Gain/Loss: 800 ft gain and loss

Experience: We depart Moab early for Capitol Reef National Park, the final stop of our Utah adventure. Here we’ll embark on a 3–4 hour hike through the park’s iconic features—towering cliffs, natural bridges, and orchards that line the historic Fruita District. After exploring the park and enjoying our last picnic lunch, we’ll begin the return drive to Salt Lake City, arriving between 6:00–8:00 pm for final goodbyes.

Highlights: Capitol Reef hike, Fruita District, scenic return drive, farewell evening.
