Grand Canyon Day Hike
Adventure Details
Our wilderness certified adventure guides will meet you at the Rim of the Grand Canyon and will then take you on a 2-3 hour hiking tour and guided backpacking trip below the rim on one of the canyons most popular trails giving you views and information that you simply cannot appreciate as much from the top. While most of our Grand Canyon hiking tours and guided backpacking trips do originate and end at the South Rim, we do offer tours from Phoenix/Scottsdale that include transportation and day hiking equipment including a day pack, trekking poles and lunch.
Pickup Locations
Pickup from Phoenix/Scottsdale hotels is available. Please coordinate with our office after booking.
What to Bring
When hiking in the Grand Canyon it is imperative to have closed-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, comfortable hiking clothes (no jeans) and enough water to last for the day. Even during winter months, the canyon is a very arid area and the hiking can be difficult due to the elements. If you are planning to meet your guide at the South Rim, please be sure to bring a backpack of some type to carry your water, snacks and any additional gear you plan to bring. Trekking poles can be rented from The General Store at Market Plaza if you would like a little additional support during your hike.
