What to Bring
Hiking in Arizona is very different from many other places in the world. You have probably heard the saying "It's a dry heat!" and that stands true regardless of the time of year. Due to the aridness of Arizona it is necessary to always protect yourself from the sun and be carrying enough water. Discovery Treks will provide you with a day pack but here is a short list of things you should bring:
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Closed-toed Shoes
- 2-3 liters of water
- Snacks for the trail
- Trekking poles (optional)
- Comfortable hiking clothing. Jeans are not recommended.
