With the wilderness-certified guides from Discovery Treks, you’ll embark upon a once-in-a-lifetime tour exploring one of the oldest American landmarks.

Below we’ve collected some of the most important information in an in-depth guide to the Havasupai camping and hiking tours we offer, so take a look.

What’s Included on Your Havasupai Tour?

One of the benefits of enlisting the services of a reliable tour guide is that they’ll take care of everything for you. Camping and backpacking through the Grand Canyon and along Havasu Creek require the proper fees and permitting, but your guide handles all of those details. You’ll also be provided with meals and transportation to and from the trailhead.

Your Daily Hiking Itinerary

After a scenic drive to the top of Hualapai Canyon, you’ll begin your trek to the base of Havasu Canyon. On your trek, you can marvel at the layers of multi-colored rock that change as you continue along the trail. You’ll then pass through the ancient tribal village of the Havasupai people at the base of the pristine waterfalls. A few miles further you’ll arrive at your campsite, a shady area adjacent to the falls where you can relax and take a dip to cool off.

On Day 2 of your adventure, you’ll visit Havasu, Fifty Foot and Mooney falls, traveling through 200-feet of rock tunnels at one point to emerge into the breathtaking landscape. After the full day and a home-cooked dinner, spend some time stargazing before going to bed. On Day 3 you’ll hike out of the gorge, gaining a different perspective of the views on your way out of the canyon.

What You’ll Need

Nearly all of the gear you’ll need to comfortably hike and camp in the canyon is provided, including tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking supplies, trekking poles, and daypacks and/or backpacks. Bringing along a few extra snacks to munch while on the trail is a good idea. Those with any dietary restrictions can be accommodated as long as they notify their guides beforehand.
